COMP0124 - Multi-agent Artificial Intelligence
90% of the courseworks is not covered in the lectures. That sums it up.
MBBS0014 - Infection and Defence
In my opinion I&D was the most well-structured and organised module in 1st year medicine. I thought that the lecturers did a good job of maintaining interest throughout and engaging with students. Definitely my favourite module this year.
PHIL0004 - Introduction to Logic 2
Great module! It covers very foundational topics in modern logic, so by all means take this if you're into logic (or if you like analytical thinking in general!). I personally didn't find it very challenging, and I really enjoyed it. It's interesting to learn about how logic can be used to formalize natural language reasoning, and natural deduction is SO much fun! Highly recommended
LAWS0004 - European Legal Studies (German) I
Do not take this module if you can't speak fluent German. It is incredibly difficult (especially because you start studying the German law model at the same time as you are trying to get to grips with the common law model in first year), so it's quite a slap in the face to find yourself doing both German public law AND English law for the first time. The teacher takes for granted that everyone is fluent
ANTH0003 - Introductory Social Anthropology
There is about 80 pages of reading to do every single week as well as two active reading forms that have to be submitted, there seems to be an expectation to thoroughly understand the subject material without any guidance, despite the module being introductory. Also no guidance/practice on the essay that determines your grade.
